As a side comment, I too, have begun to dislike mods, as the games are constantly being "updated," and all the mods I have, are no longer accepted, so my game is toast. *sigh* That is not the mods or Rimworld that is the problem, that is purely Steam's poor implementation of their Workshop.

If you get Fluffy's mod-managing mod on Steam (and maybe on the forum, not sure), it has a handy in-game UI that lets you make local copies of any mod in your list, or even all of them if you don't have a specific one selected. Manually installing mods is arguably just as easy as using the workshop with rimworld. Just download the mods Anyway to download mods from steam workshop? Unpack the downloaded file into the Mods folder in RimWorld's installation folder; The mod's folder should be Mods/Multiplayer/ (make sure it's not: Mods/Multiplayer/Multiplayer/); In the ingame mod list, enable (The mod isn't available on the Steam Workshop yet)
